SILICON VALLEY VETERAN BROOKE SEAWELL JOINS TELEGENT SYSTEMS' BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SUNNYVALE, CA – 12 Februrary 2008 – Telegent Systems, the company that makes television mobile with its high-performance single-chip mobile TV solutions, announced the appointment of Brooke Seawell to Telegent's board of directors as an independent board member and the chairman of the audit committee.
With seven IPOs in his career as an officer and a director, Seawell brings more than 25 years of experience in technology finance and operations to Telegent's board. He has served as Executive Vice President at NetDynamics, an application server software company acquired by Sun Microsystems in 1998; as Senior Vice President – finance and operations & CFO at Synopsys, an electronic design automation software company which he took public in 1992; and as Vice President – finance and production & CFO of Weitek, a fabless semiconductor company which he took public in 1988. Recognized by Upside Magazine as one of the top 15 high-tech CFOs in 1990, Seawell has subsequently served as Venture Partner at Technology Crossover Ventures and is currently a Venture Partner at NEA. Seawell sits on the boards of three public companies – NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA), Informatica (Nasdaq: INFA), Glu Mobile (Nasdaq: GLUU) – and several private companies.
